Coriander Leaves (Dhaniya) Tomato Chutney

Dhaniya is one of those herbs which has countless health benefits. Traditionally we are including Dhaniya or coriander leaves in each of our recipes for garnishing. It gives good aroma and another layer of flavour to the test apart from the health benefits.

Coriander or Dhaniya leaves has no. of essential oils, minerals and vitamins, with number of benefits. Chutney is one of the fastest moving item on my family's dining table. Sometimes I prepare Mint Curd Chutney or Cocunut (Nariyal) Chutney ot Coriander Tomato Chutney. The recipe I am sharing today is Coriander leaves and Toamto Chutney.


Ingredients:
  1. Coriander leaves: 8 - 10 bunches
  2. Tomato : 1 medium size
  3. Green chilli : 4 nos.
  4. Garlic: 1 pods
  5. Ginger: 1/2 inches
  6. Salt : As per taste


Method of Preparation :
  1. Take coriander leaves and wash it properly.
  2. Now take a mixer grinder jar and add coriander leaves, tomato, green chilli, garlic, ginger and salt.
  3. Grind all things together in a fine paste.
  4. Your Chutney is ready. Take it out in a bowl and serve it.
  5. Garnish with a coriander leaf.

Shelf life:

It can be used up to one week if stored in refrigerator.

Tips:
  1. If you want to enhance the flavour then grill tomato on gas stove and peel off its outer skin and then add in grinder jar.
  2. Same way you can grill garlic also. This chutney has great taste in either way
  3. You can also add few drops of mustard oil. It will also enhance the flavour.
